ORBITEC provides economical testing services for rapid development of rocket engine components and systems. ORBITEC's two test facilities are designed to cost effectively test liquid rocket engines, hybrid rocket engines and solid rocket motors at thrust levels from 50lb_f up to 50,000 lb_f. In addition, testing can be conducted for cryogenic components and instrumentation.

ORBITEC is currently configured for the following propellants: GH₂, GCH₄, C₃H₈, GCO, GOX, LOX, GN₂O, LN₂O and RP-1. In the past ORBITEC has tested other propellants including LH₂ and kerosene and has the infrastructure for LCH₄.
